- Principal's Scholarship
- One scholarship of $2000 awarded annually to the top Pre-U
graduate for the school year, with at least 85% average
in the best six credits, and with at least 80% in Pre-U
English.
- Governor General's Medal
- This is awarded each academic calendar year (from June
to May) to the graduating student with the highest academic
average in the best 6 Pre-U courses completed in that year.
Student receives a medal from the Governor General of Canada.
- Ontario Scholars
- Graduating students who obtain an average of 80% in six
Pre-U credits may be designated as Ontario Scholars. These
students receive an Ontario Scholar Certificate and a letter
of congratulations from the Ontario Ministry of Education.
- Chan Kotecha Memorial Scholarships
- In memory of Mr. Chan Kotecha, a long-serving teacher
and Head of the Business Department, $500 is awarded annually
to a graduating student entering year I of a business program
at a recognized Canadian university upon the recommendation
of Columbia International Colleges Business Department.
A certificate of merit is given with the award.
- Sylvia Park Memorial Scholarships
- In memory of Sylvia Park Mi-kyoung, a graduate of Columbia
International College, whose courage and determination throughout
her battle with leukemia were an inspiration to all. $500
is awarded annually in December and in May to a graduating
student who is an Ontario Scholar and who demonstrated leadership
through Student Council, Columbia Crew, Prefect System,
or other co-curricular activities at Columbia. Recipient
must be recommended by the LEAD Program Coordinator.
- ScarfonHawkins LLP English Proficiency
Award
- $500 presented annually to the student selected by the
English Department to be most improved in a senior English
course.
- Sodexho Scholarships
- Three scholarships of $1000 each awarded annually, one
each in December, May, and July, to each semesters
top Pre-U graduate in the business/ arts/ social science
stream. Recipients will be selected by department heads
and approved by the Principal.
- Alumni Association Award
- $500 presented annually in May to the student who has
made a significant contribution to co-curricular activities.
The alumni association president, Principal or Vice-Principal,
and the LEAD Program Coordinator will select the recipient.
- Student Council Award
- Awarded annually to a student who has made a significant
contribution to school life. The Student Council Advisors
select the recipient.
- Head Prefect Awards
- Residence and School Head Prefects receive this annual
certificate of appreciation.
- Columbia Leadership Awards
- Awarded annually to students who have demonstrated outstanding
leadership skills. Recipients are recommended by staff and
selected by a panel consisting of the Principal or Vice-Principal,
and the LEAD Program Coordinator.
- Columbia Millennium Scholarships
- A minimum of 5 scholarships of $500 each will be awarded,
to students who have contributed significantly to the school.
Student Council Advisors, the Athletic Director, the LEAD
Program Coordinator and the Residence Hall Masters will
make recommendations. A panel consisting of the Principal,
Vice-Principal, and the Liaison Director will select the
recipients.
- Robert Schwab Chartered Accountant
Award
- Three awards of $375.00 awarded annually, one each in
December, May, and July, to each semester's top OAC graduate
in the Business.
- W.R. McCallum Insurance Limited
Residence Community Awards
- Two $500 awards presented annually, one each to a male
and a female graduating student chosen by the Residence
Management as having made significant contributions to the
Columbia Residence community.
