Fast Track to the world's top universities without 'A' levels or equivalent

A better matriculation program

IGCSE, Form 5 or 'O' level students can study a 7 or 10-month pre-university program and be eligible for direct admissions to first year degree program at any universities in the major English speaking countries including UK. There is no need to study or write the 'A' levels exams.

7 or 10-month Pre-university program

Academically strong 'O' level students can complete the pre-university program in as short as 7 months. Above average 'O' level students can complete the pre-university program in 10 months.

Pre-university graduates may proceed to all universities

Graduates of Columbia's pre-u program are eligible to apply for direct admissions to first year degree programs at all universities in

  • Canada
  • USA
  • New Zealand
  • Australia
  • United Kingdom

Benefits of pre-university program VS 'A' levels

Fair evaluation

Assessment of students' performance is not determined by a 3 hours exam but a series of unit tests throughout the semester. Final exam is worth 30% of the final mark. Exam pressure is lower.

Credit system

Pre-u students can select course/subject according to their ability and personal choice. Students can choose to take 3 or 4 courses/subjects per semester. Students can also choose to study up to 8 courses/subjects in two 5-month semester

Save time

Students can complete the pre-u program in as short as 7 months rather than 2 years of 'A' levels. Saving time means saving money

6 courses/subject to complete pre-u

Engineering studies

Compulsory subjects include English, Advanced Functions, Calculus & Vectors, Physics and Chemistry and one other optional course/subject (such as computer, economics, etc)

Business studies

Compulsory subjects include English, minimum of two math (Advanced Function, Calculus & Vectors or Data Management); recommended courses may include Economics and Accounting; optional courses may include any other subjects.

Excellent preparation

Pre-u courses are not exam oriented. This encourages students to learn more effectively and retain much more of what was taught. Graduates of pre-u program are much better prepared for university studies.

Exam results are seamless with university admission

Pre-u graduates who complete their program in May, July or December are all eligible to enter universities in September or January.
