Home Away From Home

Conveniences for Students and Parents

  • Separate boys' and girls' boarding residences
  • Legal custodianship at no extra charge to meet Canada's immigration requirement for boarding students under 18 years of age
  • Residences open all year round so boarding students do not need to move out of residence during school and public holidays
  • Cafeteria is conveniently open all year round to provide delicious and nutritious meals

Assisting Students to Make a Smoother Transition

  • Exciting group activities at school and in the residence allow our students, coming from diverse cultural backgrounds, to integrate and make new friends
  • Engaging age-appropriate activities assist boarding students to overcome language barriers and to better adjust to their new living environment
  • Orientation at the beginning of each school semester and awareness events organized throughout the school year teach students to have mutual respect and acceptance of the diverse beliefs of others

Orientation and Tours

  • Assistance with opening a bank account
  • Assistance with library card application
  • Confirmation of health insurance coverage
  • Orientation and welcome tours of the City of Hamilton, Niagara Falls and Toronto

Supervision for ages 15 and under

  • Live-in Residence Advisor serves as a mentor and life coach
  • Live-in Residence Advisor plans and engages boarding students in exciting educational activities and learning opportunities

Visa, Passport and Flights

International students are assisted with the following services at no extra cost:

  • Student visa and passport renewal service
  • Passport safe keeping service
  • Booking and reconfirmation of airline tickets to go home

Pocket Money Management

  • Monthly pocket money disbursement on behalf of parents
  • Controlled long distance telephone expenses on behalf of parents

Medical Clinic Services

  • On-campus medical clinic with full-time nurse on staff
  • In case of illness, school:
    • Books appointment with doctor on behalf of students
    • Provides special meals when required
    • Assists students to process health care refunds from the insurance company

College Store Services

  • Sale of bus passes and phone cards
  • On-site Automatic Teller Machine
  • Sale of textbooks
  • Receipt and disbursement of registered mail packages and parcels
  • Uniform fitting and sales
