Our ASEP philosophy recognizes that students differ in their learning capabilities, learning speeds and styles. The best way to help students achieve their full academic potential is to create an educational program that is tailored to the learning characteristics of that individual.

At Columbia, we apply our ASEP assessment process to determine the student’s learning characteristics. Then our team of education experts will design a Personalized Success Plan (PSP) for each student.

Based on the academic component of the PSP, our team of education experts will guide the student on:

• The number of courses to take each semester
• The time needed to complete their entire academic program
• The selection of courses to meet personal interests or career goals
• The choices to aim for in post-secondary education

During the year, our team of education experts will follow closely the student’s academic performance. Based on the progress report, they will adjust the academic component of the student’s Personalized Success Plan (PSP) accordingly.
