Columbia’s Varsity Boys Indoor Soccer team is on their way to securing a spot in the HWIAC Indoor Soccer League championship.
The varsity team began their season in late November and have only three games left in their regular season. After achieving an almost next to perfect record, the team currently sits in second place with 18 points. Given the talent and skill level of the roster, Columbia fans have reason to be optimistic about their team’s chances in the playoffs. Coach Erind is also working hard to develop the team, teaching them not only technical skills, but also how to play with good character and spirit.
The team will have plenty of time to practice and rest before their next game scheduled for February 3 against Sherwood high school.
HWIAC Indoor League Columbia has been participated in the indoor athletic program with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board for several years now. They are one of 12 teams represented in the league.
The league’s standings, results and game schedule can be found here.
Good luck boys, we’re cheering for you!
