Over the past two Saturdays, Columbia International College students proudly joined forces with the Ancaster Community Food Drive to make a tangible difference in our local neighborhood.

In a coordinated effort, our student volunteers spent the first weekend navigating local streets to deliver informational flyers, before returning this past Saturday to collect the generous donations left on doorsteps by community members.

Now in its 34th year, this incredible initiative supports eight local agencies that provide essential services to those in need. The scale of the impact is truly remarkable—this year alone, the drive successfully collected over 70,000 lbs of food, toiletries, and hygiene products, ensuring that local food banks are well-stocked for the months ahead.

An initiative of this size requires significant logistical support, and we would like to extend a special thank you to Attridge Transportation for generously providing the bus transportation that allowed our students to cover such a wide area. Their partnership was instrumental in helping us reach as many homes as possible across the community.

We are deeply grateful to the Ancaster Community Food Drive team for organizing this vital mission and for giving our students the opportunity to learn the value of service firsthand.
