Sultan Moni, a 2014 graduate from the United Arab Emirates, recently released his debut novel Let the Heart Beat. The young adult fiction novel is about overcoming adversity. The book’s synopsis on Moni’s website reads as follows:
“Anabelle Lyndon didn’t have the best life in the world. Between school, work, and split weekends between parents, there’s only one thing she looks forward to each week; hospital visits with the kids. That’s where she meets 11 year old Skyler Goldberg, diagnosed with lung cancer, and her older brother Zak Goldberg. To help make little Skyler’s life a bit easier she makes up a game; Five Little Wishes. Skyler gets to make 5 wishes for anything that she wants, then Anabelle and Zak have to make them come true. Through the months Zak and Anabelle get closer and closer, but they couldn’t possibly prepare for the looming fear of losing Skyler. When life gets rough, will they have each other to lean on, or will their relationship crumble and fall?”
The book is available on Amazon.
