CIC Students Give Back and Spread Joy Amid Christmas Season

By December 21, 2022December 22nd, 2022No Comments

While the Fall Semester draws to an end and the school is in winter break mode, CIC students never cease to dedicate their time and efforts to the local community.

We are proud of all who go out of their comfort zone to share the joy, peace and love during the Christmas season!

iRun Santa Hamilton 5K Run or Walk

After three years of cancellations due to Covid, Santa 5K returns to Hamilton! CIC students braved the snow to volunteer as route marshals, help out at water stations and cheer for the runners. It feels great to be part of such a meaningful event supporting Hamilton Food Share.

Cookies for the Community

Cookies for the community – our students learned how to bake cookies and treats and delivered them to St. Peters Retirement Home.

Community Card Drop Off

Community Card Drop Off – CIC’s lovely “Santa’s elves” took a walk to deliver hand-made cards around the Pines neighborhood to bring a little Christmas spirit to those around us.

Y108 Christmas Tree of Hope

The Y108 Christmas Tree of Hope returns for its 46th year! CIC students went on a special shopping trip and purchased over 50 new toys for the campaign!

Neighbor to Neighbor Food Bank

A group of students participated in a Food Drive for Neighbor to Neighbor Food Bank and experienced the heart of holiday giving. With the support of the Pine Residence Community, we were able to donate 288 lbs of food to feed local families.
