Huge congratulations to our Grade 12 Elite Pathway Partnership (EPP) Program students! On their exclusive trip to New York for NHSMUN, they showcased incredible commitment to global citizenship by debating some of the world’s most pressing issues — from human rights to sustainable development — alongside students from around the world.

Through months of preparation and dedicated research, they earned the prestigious Research and Preparation Award of Excellence, recognizing their effort, professionalism, and depth of understanding.

We are so proud of how they represented CIC on an international stage and can’t wait to see how they continue to lead and inspire.

This incredible experience also included a personal highlight: meeting the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden. His words and presence reinforced the importance of perseverance and optimism.

Touring the United Nations Headquarters allowed our students to stand where world leaders gather to make decisions that shape our future — an inspiring moment that deepened their understanding of what it means to be a true global citizen.

Beyond their success at Model UN trip, our students had the chance to explore some of NYC’s most iconic sights and experiences. They took in stunning views from Top of the Rock, felt the magic of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, and reflected on history at the powerful 9/11 Memorial Museum.

They also explored the wonders of the American Museum of Natural History, strolled through the beauty of Central Park, and immersed themselves in the bright lights and energy of Times Square. One of the highlights was an enchanting evening lights cruise, offering breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty and the iconic New York skyline lit up at night.

What Is the Elite Pathway Partnership (EPP) Program

Students who demonstrate the most exceptional performance are eligible to apply for the Elite Pathway Partnership (EPP) Program with the University of Toronto in their Grade 11 and 12.

The two-year Program is designed to comprehensively prepare students for the rigorous requirements for entry to the world’s best universities.

This program offers academic, leadership, and extracurricular opportunities beyond the “Go Higher” program, and far beyond regular high school.
