We have seen tremendous growth in his confidence and sense of responsibility through his years on the school Media Team, capturing student activities and school events.”

– Parents of Eirik Lin, CIC ’27

Through Eirik’s journey at CIC, his parents have witnessed meaningful growth in both confidence and responsibility.

As an invaluable member of the Student Media team, Eirik has discovered the importance of consistency. By documenting student life and school events, he has learned how to show up for his community and contribute in ways that celebrate his peers.

As a student in the CIC-University of Toronto Elite Pathway Program, Eirik balances a rigorous academic schedule with a deep commitment to global citizenship. This dedication recently led him to the Galápagos Islands, where he spent time volunteering on vital conservation projects—an experience that, much like his work on the Media Team, underscores his desire to contribute meaningfully to the world around him.

Eirik’s growth isn’t limited to the lens of a camera. On the basketball court, he has become a strong presence, actively participating in intramural activities that challenge his teamwork and resilience.

Eirik’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. He was recently honored with a Character Award for his consistently positive impact on his peers. This recognition is a true reflection of his dedication and the core values—responsibility, respect, and community—that we strive to build in every student at Columbia International College.
