Summer literacy courses

Literacy Course Dates The 2015 Ontario Secondary School Literacy course (OLC40) will begin this week at Columbia. The course is designed for those students who were unsuccessful in writing the OSSLT in March. Students who pass the course will meet the provincial literacy requirement and will be eligible to graduate. Students enrolled in the course will read a variety of materials and produce several pieces of writing to develop literacy skills needed to participate and succeed in society. More information can be found here. The dates and time of the course offered at Columbia are listed below:

Daytime OLC June 4-26 Monday – Friday, 8:30a.m. – 4:30p.m.
Evenings & Saturdays June 1-27 Monday – Friday, 5– 9p.m. & Saturdays 8:30a.m. -6:15p.m.
July OLC July 2-24 Monday – Friday, 8:30a.m. – 4:30p.m.
Students can contact the Guidance Office if they have any questions or require further information.
