January Character Breakfast at Columbia International College honored a group of remarkable students who prove that inclusiveness is not just a concept, but a daily practice within our community.

From guiding newcomers through Hamilton’s transit system to bridging cultural gaps during school trips to the Galapagos, these individuals were recognized for their proactive efforts to ensure every peer feels seen, supported, and welcomed.

These acts of kindness—whether welcoming a mid-semester classmate or ensuring no one stands alone during group work—are the foundation of the leadership and empathy we foster at CIC.

While academic excellence remains a priority, we are incredibly proud of these students for demonstrating that our diversity truly becomes our strength when paired with the courage to care for others.
