As our Class of 2025 is gearing up for university this September, we’re thrilled to bring you some incredible insights from our alumna, Elina!
Coming to CIC at just 12 years old, she found comfort in the Total Care Education System, which provided a strong foundation for both academics and personal confidence. She actively participated in student council, athletic prefects, and various extracurricular activities.
Elina graduated as the valedictorian and top achiever of CIC’s Class of 2023. She is now in her second year at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
Elina’s experiences at CIC weren’t just about academics — but “Go beyond the classroom”, instilling in her the sense of caring, optimism, self-confidence and self advocacy, and perseverance. She also credits her success to her teachers at CIC for their guidance and support in academics and personal development.
Key Takeaways from Elina’s Interview:
🔹 CIC’s Total Care Education System® – It helps students develop strong academic and personal skills, making them transition to university easier.
🔹 Time Management is Key – prioritization and scheduling are important, especially in the first year of university, where coursework is more challenging.
🔹 Building Connections – University is not just about academics; networking is essential. Socialize, collaborate, and form study groups to build strong relationships.
🔹 Balancing Academics & Extracurriculars – While extracurriculars are important, you should focus on academics first especially in the first year.
