Columbia International College is proudly partnered with world renowned Chartwells to provide students with delicious and nutritious meals needed to maintain a balanced diet.

Food hospitality is proudly provided by Chartwells, a Compass Group Canada sector.

Chartwells is committed to delivering a student-first experience by embracing the holistic purpose of food and recognizing the power of food beyond the nutrients it provides.  They believe in the student journey through wellness by nourishing the whole student, beginning with the MIND BODY & SOUL, as well as their connection to their communities and planet.

  • Food that INSPIRES the MIND
  • Food that ENERGIZES the BODY
  • Food that COMFORTS the SOUL

There is purpose behind the food they serve. Canada-wide Chartwells is committed to delivering 1,000,000 meals to tackle food insecurity both domestically and globally, provide 10,000 hours community support for mental well-being and creating 1,000 jobs and internships for students as part of their Thinking Ahead and Giving Back vision.

The food experience is carefully and respectfully nurtured by our Executive Chef.  Over the last six years feeding the multicultural student base at CIC, Chef has gained a deep knowledge of the diverse global pallets and food traditions that provide students with the comforts of home.

Beyond crafting inspirational menus that contribute to wellbeing, menus are carefully chosen to connect with global tastes, trends and most importantly bursting with flavour. Connecting beyond the menu, Chef provides learning-to-cook experiences, connects students with local food and makes choosing healthy easy.

Alongside great tasting and healthy food, Chartwells’ prides itself with providing high levels of food safety measures to keep students safe.  Charwells supports students with food allergies using their “Don’t Be Shy Self-Identify” approach to engage students around their allergies.  Students are identified for allergies and the Chef and team work with students to devise menus and alternative options to ensure they are well feed and satisfied.
