As the semester comes to a close, it’s time to celebrate the achievements and memorable moments of our Total Care Plus (Under-16) students. Over the past few months, students engaged in a variety of activities designed to support their academic journey, foster meaningful connections, and prepare for the future.
We kicked off the semester with an exciting Exclusive Club Information and Selection Event, designed to help TCP students explore their interests and get involved in campus life from day one.
The Student Leadership Development team hosted a dynamic information session, introducing a wide range of clubs and extracurricular opportunities available this semester. As a special perk, TCP students were given the chance to select their clubs ahead of the general student body—guaranteeing them a spot in the teams and activities that sparked their enthusiasm.
Our next TCP event this semester was an insightful Workshop on Making Connections and School Safety, which offered students practical tools to stay safe in a new environment. Led by our Head of Security, the session included an eye-opening discussion on digital safety, where students learned how to recognize and avoid common scams via email, phone calls, and text messages—a vital skill in today’s connected world.
In addition to safety education, the workshop emphasized community-building. Through interactive activities, students discovered shared experiences and interests with their peers, helping them form genuine connections. By the end of the session, many students had not only gained a deeper understanding of personal safety but had also taken the first steps in forming lasting friendships within the TCP community.
To encourage bonding outside the classroom, students took part in a fun-filled trip to Playdium, a local entertainment complex packed with arcade games, attractions, and interactive activities. The vibrant atmosphere gave students the perfect setting to relax, have fun, and get to know one another in a casual environment.
Whether it was racing each other in virtual cars, shooting hoops, or teaming up for multiplayer games, students laughed, cheered each other on, and celebrated their wins together. The trip provided a great opportunity for students to break the ice, share memorable moments, and begin building friendships that continued to grow throughout the semester.
As midterms approached, the Cocoa and Cram sessions provided a cozy and productive space for students to prepare for their midterms with hot chocolate, study tips, and support from our exclusive TCP tutors. These sessions returned again later in the semester to support students during their CCA and final exam period.
TCP students also took part in a Workshop with Chartwells, gaining behind-the-scenes insight into how the school’s food services operate.
The session featured a lively discussion, with students offering suggestions to improve the dining experience. Students were encouraged to ask questions and participate in discussions surrounding food at CIC and how they can make suggestions and offer up recipes and menu ideas.
For those looking ahead, a University Application Prep Workshop offered valuable advice on navigating applications and supplemental materials. Students heard firsthand from current Grade 12 graduates about their own experiences, making the session both informative and inspiring.
We wrapped up the semester with a heartwarming Graduation Celebration, where program graduates were recognized with certificates and a small gift to commemorate their achievements.
Chartwells prepared a delicious meal for all attendees, bringing the community together one last time in celebration.
We’re proud of everything the TCP students have accomplished this semester. We wish our graduates continued success and look forward to welcoming returning students for another exciting term!
