Cheers to a Victorious Finish! CIC’s Fall Semester Intramural Soccer has officially wrapped up, and what a thrilling journey it has been! From jaw-dropping plays to incredible teamwork, every team showcased top-notch sportsmanship. And let’s not forget to give a special shout-out to our incredible Athletic Prefects, who played a pivotal role in making this season an absolute triumph!
𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 – The 2023 CIC Soccer Intramurals Champions. The Black Cats! They played to win! They had an excellent attacking force. Lucien 5 goals 4 Assists and Adham the Goal king and the winner of the best striker award with 9 goals showed no mercy to the opponent. They were remarkable, resilience and showcased sheer determination. In the pantheon of footballing gods, they’ve etched their names as legends and have their names written in the books of history. They shall be forever remembered as the Black Cats !
𝐒𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 – Despite the loss, their journey to the final was a testament to their resilience and unity. Disappointment today, but the fire within them burns brighter. This loss will fuel more hunger for future victories. Leo Joseph, the overall best play and MVP with 6 goals and 4 assists, was the orchestra for the Lavender Panthers. Silver Medal Winners! They were a joy to watch!
𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 – They were always battling for their lives on the pitch. Right from group stages to the semi-finals it always been a close call for the Yellow Bees. Tonye, the best striker award winner, with 9 goals in 6 games, always got them into business, however, at shootouts, they experienced a bitter taste of defeat as victory slipped away. The journey continues despite this setback. A Bronze medal well deserved !
